Given SE’s long history of alienating community members, it didn’t come as a surprise.
As Robert said, (to quote:) ‘I didn’t make this decision lightly, frivolously or suddenly. A persistent pattern of corporate missteps, and a monumentally deplorable moderator dismissal, has compelled me to re-evaluate my relationship with Stack Exchange.’
There’s a long history of Stack Exchange alienating more engaged community members, and I know many that have already left as a result of this.

- Obtain a high view count by simplying posting an answer on a thread with high number of views.
If you’re indeed contributing to the platform, a precautionary word from my side would be to realize that your contributions last forever, without you actually having any permanent rights to keep hold of your ownership with them.
